This is a great little safe! To be clear if not bolted to the wall, nothing prevents a thief from walking off with it. It is not fireproof or break-in proof.With that, it sits on shelf in my closet and holds some values and my firearms. I specifically bought it to keep my firearms locked up and out of reach of my son. For that, it is great!The fingerprint reader is good and works as designed! Admittedly, you have to hit it just right with relatively dry hands for it to work. The fact you can program up to 30 prints is great, use it for me and my wife.We also use a key code as a backup to gain access. Setting up the fingerprints and code was very simple. There is even a little alarm you can set if some rocks the safe and deactivates with code or print.One downside is every time you press a button or use the print reader, it beeps. It is not overly loud, but loud enough if you want to access it in the middle of the night because of a suspected intruder, depending on the size of your house and location of safe, may be heard opening.One thing not mentioned in the instructions. The safe dial/keypad will not work if the batteries die (that is mentioned). The only way to access it of that happens is the emergency back up key (don't lose) or (this is what is not mentioned) the safe does come with a battery back up kit. The kit plugs into the safe keypad and powers it up so you can use the keypad and/or print reader to get the safe open. Once opened, you can replace the batteries.All in all, at this price point and my needs, this is perfect. Not too big, small, or overly complicated. As long as your not looking for something that is theft proof, this is great.The customer service is very good. Delivery is very smooth and quick. The box inside looks pretty nice with pads. I changed the passcode within seconds. Easy to follow instructions. I think it works perfectly for me. It is a gift for a friend. My friend likes it too.This safe exceeded my expectations! it was simple to set up and is able to hold by large envelopes that I store documents in. Self adds space for smaller items. Great value for the price. I was able to close my $80. per year safe deposit box at the bank. That paid for most of the cost of this safe and it is way more convenient.It’s very easy to use and there’s 3 ways you can open the safe. Good for putting something important out of reach from others or child.This safe is the perfect size for us to store some important documents and small items in the office. Even though it s small, the quality seems very good.It s very easy to set up the fingerprint and passcode. I like how it gives you an external battery box so if the battery on the safe is dead, i could use the external one to open it.I also like how the alarm goes off when you move the safe. It can be annoying if you don’t get it turned off right away though.I do wish it s fire resistant.Overall, it s a good purchase for my office.Secret boxes are affordable and easy to handle. The combination box and the alarm system the electronic codes are very good anti-theft.Update: I have upgraded the rating. It turns out this safedoes have an undocumented emergency battery system you can use to open the safe if the battery dies and you loose the keys. Its the white box and it plugs into the little hole at the bottom of the dial. Neeto! Totally undocumented though.Interior is beautiful.Still a star off for lying about the floor mount though and tnhe manual is horrible."You can fix the TENAMIC safe on the floor or on the wall. Does not,even explain battery installation.No emergency battery system.Its pretty inside but returning.The safe is exactly what we needed and the options to use the code or fingerprint make it really easy for our kids. I didn’t quite understand the instructions at first and sent off an email to customer service. They responded what felt like immediately and just outline the steps for me again, but even more clearly, and then they were in the manual problem solved fingerprints set as well as the codes no matter how good a product is. It always comes down to customer service and these guys know what that’s about.
