This was just as I expected! Which is great because sometimes things come as a surprise lol. If you have a screwdriver (even better, a drill gun), you can do this solo. I did need my daughter to hand it to me when I hung it because it is a little heavy. But I’m sure I could have done it alone if I needed to.The shelf inside is adjustable length, so you can change it at any time easily by just pulling out the prongs.I wouldn’t consider assembly to be beginner level, but if you’ve ever constructed furniture pieces before, you can for sure do this.
